In a tragic accident that unfolded on Thursday in Kalaburagi district, Karnataka, six lives were abruptly cut short, including that of a three-month-old baby, as a cement tanker collided with the auto-rickshaw they were traveling in. The incident took place near Hallkatti village in Chithapur Taluk, within the Wadi police station limits. The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Pasha (20), Nazma Begam (28), BB Fatima (12), BB Marimma (three months old), and the auto-rickshaw driver Baba (35), a resident of Nalwar village.
Addur Srinivasulu, the Superintendent of Police (SP) for Kalaburagi, reached the accident site to assess the details. Authorities have initiated an investigation, with a case already registered in connection with the tragic incident. Further information is pending as the investigation progresses. This unfortunate event comes just a week after another fatal accident in the same district, where five members of a family lost their lives in a collision between a two-wheeler and a truck.
